Fortune Life Insurance Co., Inc. held a Memorandum of Agreement signing with the Passenger Accident Management & Insurance Agency,Inc. (PAMI) on June 23, 2011, Thursday, 11:30 am at the Fortune Life Makati Office.
The MOA signing formalized the partnership for the mandatory insurance coverage requirement for agency-hired migrant workers, with Fortune Life as the provider for natural death benefit.
Following Fortune Life's recent accreditation to provide insurance coverage, PAMI will provide support in terms of insurance management and administration.
According to the Guidelines issued by the Insurance Commission, "each migrant worker to be deployed by a recruitment/manning agency shall be covered by a compulsory insurance contract which shall be secured at no cost to the said worker."
